The only downside is a small flaw with the top popping out but it goes away after time so long as you keep it clean and flip the gasket around every once in a while. Definitely worth it.. I love the travel mug from Thermos. Keeps drinks cold forever and keeps them warm just as long. I have 4 and that's still not enough! I use them all day long. I start with my coffee in the morning and even have mixed drinks in them later in the day because the ice doesn't melt and dilute my drink. You never need a coaster, because the mug doesn't sweat when it has cold liquid in it. They are perfectly sized to fit in a car cup holder and in a golf cart. These red and blue ones were a super good value. Gave only 4 stars because the red and blue paint can't handle the dishwasher, but I'm not washing by hand - no way! The paint is very slowly pealing away from the rim. When I use my fingernail, the paint will scrape away. So in time, they'll look bad, but will still be functional. I might just go ahead and take a steel pad to them eventually and remove the residual paint. Its just decorative. I'm happy though, for the great price. Will probably buy more. I wish that Thermos would come up with a similar concept for cups that can be used in the home everyday instead of glass or plastic. My coffee stays hot all the way down to the bottom of the cup. My cold drinks stay cold and the ice stays solid for hours and hours. If I could, I'd make every cup in my home thermal.. Thank You flowerdekho.com.
